If I remember correctly gay's alway's had equal right's even if they were in the closet with it.
Getting beat up physically or verbally at least once in a person's life for being ugly or having freckles isn't unusual but does being ugly or freckled require special right's and recognition? Coluting that "gay" is genetic is altogether bad science and myoptic rationale. If it weren't bad science it would mean that genetic DNA science has finally reached the end of discovery. Egad, science has only just tangibly discovered the DNA chain within the last 20 years. It took till the 1400's to finally discover that the world wasn't flat however new continent's were being discovered decades later and new culture's were being discovered century's later.
Is a Biblical perspective about the issue definitive? Yes, totally complete. And for good reason(s) definitive. Neche stated, "In a world where anything and everything goes there's complete chaos", (confusion, disorder, mayhem, distruction, etc., etc.. He hit the bull's eye without any biblical training!
The gay agenda of our modern times is all about financial bennifits...nothing more important. Via the "political correctness" tool, little by little institutions are buckling to that agenda. Being guilted into something when there's no concrete facts ought to send up a million red flag's.
If "private" health care isn't expensive enough for non gays it's only going to get worse when a same sex gay "spouse" is allowed to qualify for coverage as a dependant status. Gay's with AIDS will come pouring out of the wood work because insurance companies will not be allowed to underwrite them or deny them coverage!!! This is the same mentality that allow's anyone with AIDS to remain annonymous and not disclose to anyone the fact that they have a deadly disease. Epidemic deadly enough of a disease! Chaos? Distruction?
Gay's as we all know pour every dime into the Liberal election coffer's. That make's sence because the dem's will just throw 10 time's as much money and bennifit's back at them. Throwing money at an issue is the liberal method. Nothing new there! lol

And what of straight people who have aids? Remain anonymous? Have you seen the news story about the 18 year old from South Milwaukee? Sure, people keep quiet about their condition and some are irresponsible when they should be letting their partner know what they have. It goes for anything, not just HIV/AIDS. It could be a number of STDs or any other communicable disease. What do you suggest? Some data base that we can look at?

I'm conservative, but when you have family and friends who are gay and with HIV, you kind of take a different view of things. I am quite sure that some will not agree with me on this post, but not only do I have a conscience, but I have a heart as well.[/color]
DNA was discovered in 1953
The double helix model was "finally" "suggested" back then which eventually gave scientist the ability to start to identify the who, what, where's and when's to eventually be able to manipulate the strand's. The first human DNA protien model to be identified and then photoded with an atomic/electron microscope is I think what was the big splash 20 years ago.

AIDS and Anthrax are both deadly. Should someone carrying the Anthrax virus be allowed to go beyond their door step? Why should one be allowed to expose themselves to the population and another not. Both viruses can be carried by a host BUT with no affect to the host in some instances.
AIDS in Africa might be an epidemic, however, it's out of control at plaque level status because of anonimity, ironically so to speak.

The innocent who get AIDS do make the evening news exploits but those exploits don't at all make AIDS 100% less benine.

Nope. Never heard of them. I could say there are misguided people. Some misguided people are in some groups i.e., the Methods who's sole purpose is to advance gay rights. I could also say there are intelligent and logical people in some groups who's sole agenda isn't just to impose gay "special" rights over everyone elses rights most especially in light of their AIDS communative factor.

As I remember it the language of the referendum didn't specify that a legal union was limited to a man and woman "only" in union. The ad campaign the gay's ran was pretty confusing and ambiguous - misleading. They lost one then for sure but what about their next try at it? America won it's independence one battle at a time.
It's a good thing you brought the DOMA issue up. All the more reason to consider all the facts before voting.
I like that site you posted. Very unbiased as far as I can tell. I was looking around in it. Personally, I have no problem with gay people, I know some and like I said, I have a nephew who is. What should be done about the HIV/AIDS disclosure? Should doctors be required to enter that info onto a data base? I can understand the need to protect the public health. Don't they do that with things like measles and others? BTW, my nephew is HIV positive and he has never hid that fact. Don't make this a gay only issue. There are many straights who wound up HIV positive and are very uninformed or very stupid or just don't give a crap. HIV/AIDS doesn't discriminate on the grounds of lifestyle.

I think your not interested in what Jesus would do but rather what moparsteve would do about the gay problem. See, there are issues bigger then I'm capable of fixing so the best I can do is relay the information in regards to what is a healthy life style versus a self distructive life style.
Has Jesus been doing nothing about that issue? Actually, he hasn't stopped addressing that issue or any other problem we create. We all have a free will which allow's us to make choices and for eons he's been trying to not just get to the well but to get us to drink from it. He doesn't force anyone to believe the thing's he say's that are best for us. He send's missionaries out all around the world to all countries with the message that there IS a better way but one difficulty is in dealing with "creature's of habit". People love their comfort zone's so much that they'll die before they'd give it up because their comfort zone is where they feel secure. Ironically that comfort zone is a zone of personal insecurity (lousy sence of self worth) which is why they're in that zone to begin with.

Doing good doesn't alway's mean giving away the farm. Doing good also means looking out for the "interests of the whole group" such as putting the "Danger Thin Ice" signs around lakes and river's or making sure there's enough tax money available to update and operate a cities sewage system and fresh water supply.
