It was my first time at the Lannon "Cars on Main" show today...and even though I was burnt to a crisp from the sun...It was the best time I had in a long time! I saw sooo many friends... It was great seeing Jen, Hemi Rob, Nova Don, Pro-show SS, Clint from C+S, Rick the GLD photographer, Nova Don's Nephew (Can't remember your name...but great talking with you!!!)....Laguna Russ, Street Reaper Bobby (Hope to see that legend back together soon!), Anglia Bill, Falcon Bruce, Glenn, Mopar John...Buffalo Jerry, Karen and Roger, Chevelle Dave and a buncha new friends...
Man...there musta been 500 cars. It was like a small Woodward Dream cruise...cars cruising up and down Main all day.....sweet ladies walking by distracting me (LOL! I'm sooo bad! But WOW!!!!) And a bunch of friend's I would consider family. Can't wait until next year.....but next time I'll be there at 7:30 AM....maybe some of us should meet up and park in the shade.....
And oh...Jen..AWESOME BURNOUT!!!! Holy crap!!!! And I hope I didn't dissapoint when I did mine...I gave her all she had.....I heard some cheers......and I should have turned around and came back through town...but the young lady cop said to me: "Are you gonna do a burnout?" I said "Oh yeah" She said: "Ok..pull past that squad up there, do it right, and don't hit anyone." And I said..."Hun..I've been doing burnouts longer than you've been alive..trust me." And she said..."If it's big, don't come back though town because we'll know you broke the speed limit." And all I said was "Yess Ma'mm, no problem" Wow..what a rush. As a matter of fact, when I got home, my wife smelled the rubber still burning on the exhaust and said "I know what you've been doing". LOL!
If you guys have never been there..plan on it next year....it's a blast!
