This week was another pleasant evening with lots of nice cars.

It was certainly enjoyable gett'n around to talk with friends, share a pizza and enjoy a cool one.

I got a chance to meet with some "First Timers" and they complimented me on what a great event we have.

I informed them that we are loosely organized and that it's the help of the volunteers and everyone in attendance that makes the evening go so smoothly.

Mike & Jim are usually the first to arrive and they take care of setting up the tables, cones, banner and get the music started. As cars arrive, everyone lends a hand directing cars to open spots and guiding them bewteen the lines. I especially enjoy watching people introduce themselves to total strangers, showing interest in each others cars and perhaps starting a new friendship.

Charlie can regularly be seen navigating the crowd to get pictures of your cars and people having a good time. Thanks Charlie!

As the evening winds down, it's nice that Dave, Andrea, Jenny, Mike, Doug, Chuck, Jeff and everyone pitches in by bringing in the signs & cones and help pick up any stray cups.

Thanks everyone for making Wednesday Night Classics "the area's BEST cruise destionation!"
I really wanted to be there, but the heat got to me at work and made me ill. Hopefully I'll make an appearance next week.
Tom, without you, the show would not have gone on. (As we know it anyway) If there is really any one person to thank, it's you! So....with that said, THANK YOU TOM! I really enjoy your stories you share "On Air" I loved the one about your son asking which was your favorite car....and your Grandson already has cars in his blood.

It's amazing how many car nuts are out there.....I had to go to court this past Wednsday for a speeding ticket. I had been sitting in the court room for about 45 minutes (Waiting my turn to talk to the D.A.) when in walks in a fellow WNC'r (Who will remain nameless) Turns out he got a ticket too. Man did we laugh when we made eye contact!!! LMAO!!! He yelled over "Hey Chuck! Not surprised to see you here!" And the whole room was engulfed with laughter!

And yes...what a beautiful night. I wish I could have stayed awhile longer.....but the heat got to Momma too...and she wanted her pizza! LOL! I hope there are more nights like that to come.

And speaking of Charlie...where's he been?

Gregg...sorry to hear you got sick. That whole day was unbearable....but the evening was just perfect........still need the rear of my car done.....You can sit in the shade to draw it soon if I get my "normal" spot LOL! Maybe draw in a little tiresmoke too??? LOL!

Hope to see you guys on the 6th!
Thanks Chuck!

You got a speeding ticket?

I'm surprised!?!... I would have more expected "Excessive Accelleration?

I hope that worked out for ya... and the other namelss WNC'r

Yup! I agree with the great pics comment! Great pics Charlie! I personally loved the Olds powered Ratrod. That thing is AWESOME!!!! Ya don't see something like that every day! And you certainly can't go to your local dealiship and find a few on the lot. My second favorite is GTO Judge Mike laughing....what a great guy! Always fun to hang around with. He looked soooo embarassed! LOL! I say you chase him down every week and shoot his pic! LOL! Nah....

Great pics of the cars. I gotta make it in next week, sick or not.
My grandson Dylan's favorite car was the olive drab Ford General Purpose Vehicle AKA "GP" or "Jeep".

Apparently he's not interested in shiny paint and chrome!

I enjoyed the ride! Photo #40 & 41
