Retirement funds consist of dollars that go into Mutual Funds. Of course the objective of the funds are to make money for grandma and anyone else. Everyone that has money in these funds can vote by proxy for more return on their investment. Yes even the average investor is directly responsible for the fuel price increases, so, in that case not all of the blame can be laid on the senate and congress who are vested in oil, although it is a shameful sham for polititians to grill oil exec's with a few tolken hearings regarding record breaking profit's just to pacify voters who don't have stock investments of anykind.
Grandma's and polititian's are rowing the same boat.
Of course some events can go on "Rain or Shine" however a car show is one that everybody just decides to stay home and watch golf instead of letting their car get wet.
Maybe it's not the threat of a little water that keeps our cars in the garage but the hours & hours of cleanup that's required.

Hello, my name is Josh and I am a sales representative for the Milwaukee Brewers. We are going to be having a special date at Miller Park dedicated to custom and classic car collectors. It will be on September 23rd and is called Brewers Custom and Classic Car Night. I wanted to be sure to pass along the information to you. I placed a link at the bottom for you which I am hoping you will be able to post on your website as well as any other classic or custom car websites that you know of. The link provided with allow any one who you provide the link and password with (password: car), which presumably would be anybody who frequents your website, the opportunity to purchase ½ price Brewers tickets for the game on 9/23. If all goes well this year, next season we could definitely expand on the idea of Brewers Custom and Classic Car Night and hopefully make it a successful event for years to come. Thanks so much for your time and I look forward to seeing you down at the park on September 23rd. I would appreciate you posting and providing this link to any car enthusiasts you know. The more the merrier!

What a glorious evening we had last night!

...and a great turnout as well!

The weather was perfect and the lot was full of lots of really nice cars and some darn nice people!

I'm enjoying the more relaxed atmosphere. Of course I REALLY enjoyed the great pizza and cold beer.

Thanks to the volunteers ( Gary, Jen, Dave, Don, Rob, Andrea...) for helping with set up, take down and cleaning up at the end of the evening.

And a special thanks To Charlie for all the great photos!

My nephew Ben and his friend Nick joined us last night and was awestruck by the variety and quality of cars. Though he's only 16, Ben has a strong love affair with cool cars. He checked out each car and wondered which was his favorite. ( I'll apologize for him if he inadvertantly drooled on your car! ) Ben also commented on the friendliness of all the people. He wasn't shunned or ignored when he asked questions about certain cars or features.

Anyway, it was great evening, I hope y'all had a good time and look forward to see'n ya next week!

PS. Something really cool happened last night. The owner of a red Buick GS convertible came in and said it was once owned by Pistol Pete. Pete sure had a BIG smile as he checked out his old car. He said it brought back a lot of memories.

Do you know where your favorite car from your youth is?

Hello, most of you know me as a DJ at car shows or as a car artist. I was at the East Troy Lions show today and had a pretty good day, art wise. After words, I had to meet someone at Gus' Drive In to draw their car. Did that and another person comes to me and wants their car done too. Gus' wife comes out and asks what I'm doing and she wants to know if I'm getting paid. Yeah, I says, and she says Gus doesn't know me and I have to leave. I went off site to finish the drawing as I had quite a bit of it fleshed in. Now in the very beginning of Gus's cruise night thing I talked to him about DJing there but he had already hired Don Kasper...no problem there, it's the nature of the business. So he does know me and has seen me there on numerous occasions drawing cars. I am sort of an icon or local legend (not my words) and I have been doing this for years, since about 1986. Yeah, long time, I'm old!! The problem I have is Gus didn't have the cajones to say something to me himself, he had to send the wife. Also, many cars park across the street in the high school soccer fields as Gus' lot can in no way accommodate all those cars. I young man with a raised pick up truck was in the soccer field with a Confederate battle flag and our own American Stars and Stripes displayed from the bed of the truck. Gus comes across the street to the field and tells them to remove their flags (plural as in both), not just the CSA battle flag but our country's flag as well. Not even his property, yet he is telling people what they can display. Anyway, I am not calling for people to not go there or boycott, I would never do that. I am just venting. As to the art, I have done this many years at Solid Gold, Hardee's, McDonalds in Racine, Quisnos in Waukesha, Heaven City on HWY ES, DiMarini's and so many more than I can count. I am a part of the local car culture. I've even been out to Pistol Pete's some years back (should I come back?) Thanks for your time, everyone.

The weather guessers were correct this time when they predicted 50% chance of rain!

In fact, half of the evening it was raining and the other half it was NOT.

I guess that makes their prediction 100% correct.

We had several WNC'rs bring their cars anyway. After all it's just water.

Most of the "regulars" attended but stayed inside, out of the rain and enjoyed a great pizza.

For those wondering: Jeff S. AKA "Buick Guy" had to leave quickly however he reports that his daughter will be fine.

That's good news!
